Metrotown

Burnaby has named Metrotown one of its town centres, and Metro Vancouver counts it among the region's key hubs. It is a fully rounded South Burnaby community best known for shopping and entertainment, and just as well regarded for its skyline of high-rise condos. Since SkyTrain arrived in 1985, tower living has flourished here and new projects keep rising.

Getting around

The Metrotown station on the Expo Line puts downtown Vancouver and New Westminster within a short ride, and frequent bus routes fan out across South Burnaby. Kingsway and Willingdon Avenue give drivers quick connections in every direction.

Schools & family

Families have a good choice of nearby elementary and secondary schools, and BCIT's Burnaby campus is a manageable commute for post-secondary study.

Shopping & lifestyle

Metropolis at Metrotown, one of the largest malls in the province, anchors the district with hundreds of shops, dining and cinemas right beside the station.
