Greater Vancouver
Modern, connected and famous for its food.
The Area
Built on the flat delta islands between Vancouver and the airport, Richmond is one of the region's most diverse and convenient cities.
The city centre around Richmond Centre and Aberdeen is dense, walkable and served directly by the Canada Line, putting downtown Vancouver and the airport within a short train ride. Richmond's dining scene, especially its Asian restaurants and night markets, draws visitors from across the region.
Beyond the core, neighbourhoods such as Steveston offer a historic fishing village setting with a working waterfront, boardwalk and small town feel, while Terra Nova and the west dyke give runners and cyclists miles of open shoreline.
Because much of Richmond is newer, buyers find a large supply of contemporary condos and townhomes alongside detached homes, making it a practical choice for families and downsizers alike.
