James Bay

James Bay grew up just south of the Inner Harbour as Victoria's first residential neighbourhood, and it still holds some of the city's oldest homes alongside a growing number of condos near the water. Beacon Hill Park's oceanfront trails and the Ogden Point breakwater give the neighbourhood a genuinely coastal feel just steps from downtown.

Getting around

James Bay is entirely walkable to downtown, with BC Transit routes and Dallas Road's waterfront path connecting it to Fairfield and beyond.

James Bay's elementary school serves the neighbourhood directly, with secondary students continuing on at nearby Victoria schools.

A small village centre on Menzies Street covers daily basics, with all of downtown Victoria a short walk away.
